The Client Side of Pet Sitting

The half of the work that is not a form and not a contract: what a client expects of you, in their words, with your answer written beside each one, the jobs that come with a visit, the things that are not included unless you say so, your hours and your reply window, and the other people in the home.

The situations you meet more than once are worked out in advance, each with the words you have already chosen — an animal that is not what you were told, a routine that does not work for you, a client who goes quiet, being pushed to take a job, a request outside the agreement, a booking that changes or ends. The good half gets the same room: what makes a client stay, the first week, month and year, asking for a referral, and the animals you will miss.

What it covers

the parts in order

  • what they expect, and what I do
  • first contact and the meet-and-greet
  • what I promise, and what I do not
  • staying in touch
  • the difficult ones, decided in advance — six situations, each with what I say and what I decided beforehand
  • requests, changes, and my own terms
  • the good half
  • endings, and the animals
  • and notes with my next three steps

What you get

Each pack is a printable PDF you print at home, as often as you like. Choosing a pack takes you to Stripe's own secure checkout, which shows you the amount before you confirm anything, and your download is ready as soon as the payment goes through.

The forms inside are blank on purpose. Everything that depends on you — your vet, the clinic that is open at night, your phone number, your address, your rates, the wording of your own policies — is yours to fill in, so nothing in a pack invents a business or a price for you.

If a pack does not fit the way you care for your animals, tell us. We look forward to feedback to improve or add to our packs.

We email you a discount code for the shop once you confirm your address.
